Days 10-13 - Zanzibar - Honeymooning
Zanzibar 10, 11, 12 & 13 September 2026 🇫🇷 Version française et photos plus bas ↓ And just like that, we reached the last few days of our honeymoon. After a couple more tropical storms, Zanzibar finally gave us the weather we had been waiting for: beautiful blue skies, sunshine and that little breeze that made doing absolutely nothing feel even better. And that was pretty much the plan. Slow breakfasts with delicious food and eggs made to order. A little swimming. A little

Day 9 - Zanzibar - Birthday in paradise
Zanzibar 9 September 2026 🇫🇷 Version française et photos plus bas ↓ A slow morning in paradise, waking up in our lovely air-conditioned villa with absolutely nowhere we needed to be. Breakfast buffet, eggs made to order. My kind of paradise. And just like that, our beach holiday had officially begun. Honestly, not a bad way to start a birthday. We took our time over breakfast before heading straight to the sun loungers by the pool. A little morning swim to wake up the body,

Day 8 - Ikoma - From bush to beach
Grumeti → Zanzibar 🇫🇷 Version française et photos plus bas ↓ One last early morning in the bush. We set off on foot through Grumeti, walking towards the river with a ranger beside us, rifle in hand, just in case. Really, just in case. We came across buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest… and ants. Nothing particularly dramatic this morning, and that was actually quite perfect. Just the sound of the doves, our footsteps and the peaceful silence of the savannah. Breakfast was waiting

Day 3 - Tarangire - Safari n.2
Tarangire 3 September 2026 🇫🇷 Version française et photos plus bas ↓ We fell asleep tucked into our cosy tent, with only a thin layer of canvas between us and the bush outside. Through the night came the sounds of wild dogs somewhere in the distance, and the wind picked up so we could hear and feel the tent moving around us. Then, slowly, as the night gave way to morning, the sounds changed. The wind settled and the birds took over, one after another, until they were everyw

Day 2 - Tarangire - Into the wild
Arusha → Tarangire National Park 2 September 2026 🇫🇷 Version française et photos plus bas ↓ Here it is, our first safari day. We left Arusha early in the morning and watched the roads slowly change as we made our way towards Tarangire. From big paved roads to slightly less paved ones, until we eventually reached what Deo, our guide, calls the “massage roads” - roads so bumpy that apparently, they count as a massage. A quick photo at the entrance of the park and we were off

Day 1 - Tanzania - The journey begins
Geneva → Addis Ababa → Kilimanjaro 1 September 2026 🇫🇷 Version française plus bas ↓ And just like that, the adventure begins. The journey from Geneva started on a particularly good note, with a last-minute decision to upgrade ourselves to Business Class for our first flight. Champagne, a proper menu, a full bed and a coffee served exactly when we woke up… I was discovering the whole experience with perhaps a little too much enthusiasm, while slowly realising that Economy on
